Marsden Avenue stormwater main renewal

Works commenced 17 July 2023 and are expected to take around four to give months to complete.
Following heavy rainfall in 2022, a stormwater main behind Marsden Village collapsed, impacting two private properties and creating a sinkhole.
A temporary repair was put in place, and permanent repairs are now underway.
We have been working closely with impacted property owners around the repair solution, which will include renewing the section of pipe that runs under private property.
Additionally, we are repairing a section of the pipe that runs under the Marsden Village carpark and is in poor condition. We are using trenchless relining to minimise disruption.
The works will not impact Karori Road traffic, however some business carparks will be affected for the duration of the works.
