Bell Road Wastewater Renewal

Work was completed in April 2023.
On Tuesday 14 April 2024 , the crew will be back on site carrying some testing. This work is expected to take two to three days to complete and will not impact traffic or parking. Hours of work will generally be 7am-6pm Monday to Friday.
What are we doing?
We've renewed a damaged wastewater pipe that crosses under Waiwhetu Stream alongside Bell Road. Prior to the renewal no wastewater had been getting into the environment as a temporary over pumping system was in place diverting flows from the pipe.
Road safety during the work
The safety of pedestrians, cyclists, road users and contractors are our number one priority. While we carry out the work, we will need to reduce Quadrant Drive to a single lane, with Give Way signage in place.
